Who is VAGO?
The Victorian Auditor General’s Office (VAGO) is a critical part of Victoria’s integrity system. To achieve this, VAGO annually conducts over 530 financial audits and numerous performance audits across a diverse range of portfolios including infrastructure, transport, health and social services, education, water, local government, insurance, justice, treasury and superannuation. Such a broad range of portfolios allows our people to gain unrivalled audit experience working throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria.

They are also supported to attain either a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) or Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) accreditation, via coursework support, access to study leave and reimbursement of fees for subjects that are passed.
Upon successful completion of the required training, including their CPA/CAANZ/IPA qualification, VPS3.2 Auditors are eligible to apply for Senior Auditor roles advertised.
